Historical Antietam

I love the fact that we can allow for a free setup in Antietam.  Not many games can do that.  It is a sign that this is a very strong design and model.  This greatly ups the re-playability, realism and fun.

Still, it is nice to know what the historical setup was for the battle.  Here ya go:

Some of the pix are little blurry but I think you can make out who started where.

  1. Great. Thank you .Awesome game system. Realism without extensive picky rules. I’m looking forward to Gettysburg already. What about a game covering first and second Manassas?

    • Yep! We already have most of the maps laid out for 1st & 2nd Manassas. Both battles will be really interesting to compare. I’m imagining that most units at the first battle will be Green status. That alone should be pretty squirrely.

Oooo, and we’ll have to do different colored stickers for the different uniforms. That will be fun! 🙂

Even better would that the stickers match color blocks with only small flag symbols denoting “side”. Would that not make a first glance player-general take concern!

Nevertheless, plans all sound good, thanks, COMMAND POST GAMES
