China, the Next Nazi Germany?

 

“We can never have another big war.  Modern weapons are too powerful now.  Too deadly.  No one could win.  There would be no point to starting a war.”

 

Yeah, they say that after every big war.  “The war to end all wars.”  We still seem to keep having them though, don’t we?  What will the next big war look like?  Watching all the international developments around the world lately, this is what we see:

They don’t trust each other but they are both corrupt, incompetent, cheating, bullying dictatorships;  so that means they have a lot in common.  Who am I talking about?  Russia and China.  Can their common interests unite them into the next Axis of evil?  They do have a track record of voting together in the UN and supporting every deadbeat, thug, dictator they can find that hates the West.

Most people aren’t aware of this.  The media never talks about it.  China is becoming increasingly hostile with just about all of their neighbors.  They are gearing up their military expenditures.  Seizing and occupying land all over the Pacific that does not belong to them.  What is the world’s response?  (sigh)  Not even whimpy appeasement.  If history is any guide, this should embolden China to accelerate and set their ambitions higher.  Is China going to be the next Nazi Germany?

The tension between China and all their neighbors is increasing.  Especially Japan.  There is still lots of bad blood between these two.  If the US continues to sit on the sidelines, Japan is going to have to re-arm to defend itself against Chinese hostility.

So we have China starting the Asian blitzkrieg in the east.  Maybe Russia takes advantage of the distraction by bullying some other their neighbors again to the west.  How far will they get before the West wakes up and mobilizes enough to stop their advance?

It would be interesting to game this out.  What better way to do it than in Supremacy 2020?
