Command Stick

Description

Make your moves with these custom Command Sticks.   Yes, they actually work great!  Scaled for Pub Battles but use in any game.

“Ha!  I loved these when I first saw them.  Sure they look cool, but you can’t actually use them to play a game?  It would be too hard to control for moving pieces, right?    

Well, there’s one way to find out.  I tested them.

Boy was I surprised.   I won’t play without them now.  Soooooo much better.  No problem moving pieces around.  If you need to be precise, the trick is to hold the handle like a pencil rather than a sword.  Fantastic!”

There are lots of handy little features packed into this stick:

• Scaled to Pub Battles:  16,000:1.
• The short end of the block is exactly 1/3 Foot Move.  Yep, the long end is exactly 1/3 Mounted Move.
• Place the block flag down in front of an enemy piece while you move to make sure you are clear of their Field of Fire.  Using this same technique also shows where you will end up if you retreat during a combat.
• The total stick length equals 3 FMs.  This makes it easy to see and measure withdraw distance from battles.
• Since the total stick length is 3 FMs, that means the rest of the handle from the end of the Foot Move scale is 2 FMs, right?  That is the distance traveled by infantry marching in road column!  Perfect.
• Use them as a back stop to roll dice against, so they don’t roll off the table.
• The back scales show the different ranges for muskets and artillery types in 100s of paces.  This is for easy conversion to Kriegsspiel.  Also can be used for our advanced Brigade scale rules to be released.
• For handy reference, it denotes a Kilometer and a Mile on the bottom 6lb artillery scale.
• Makes an excellent pointer while doing a presentation.
• Very fun & intimidating to point at your opponent while speaking to them during a game.  =)
• Cat approved.  Be careful they don’t get chewed up!

Does NOT include wood glue.  You’ll need a few drops.
